The New Republic (and adoption)

Are people finally waking up?  I sure hope so.   Here is an article in The New Republic  about the fight to have the dark, coercive, rights-trampling side of adoption recognized.

I think, given the content, the title is somewhat of a misnomer – Read it here Meet the New Anti-Adoption Movement – The Surprising Next Frontier in Reproductive Justice.

Feminists, whether they had experience with adoption or not, should have been all over this issue long ago. But because of some misguided idea of the generality of the notion of choice in these circumstance, they aren’t.  If you read the article, the feminist questions are definitely there to be explored.
